Default Smrf guild problems

Smrf guild is really a big problem in the ladder. My guildies and I have been trying to climb back on the top 50s eversince ladder reset. And mostly we faced are all smrf. The guild guest invite is a heavy exploit. It might seem its just fair competition but the matter the fact is if one guild ran smrf all the time the ladder top 10s would actually belong to just one group of people. Most of the time when I faced a smrf guild all the people they have is mainly consisted of guests.

In fact most of the top ladder guilds are all connected. I see people from "VIKI" in blood egales guild battle, FnID in legion of losers. I am not saying it is totally a wrong thing to invite someone for gvg, but it now seems the ladder is mostly dominated by a singl group of good players spreading total ladder conquest.

Sure one can say it is fair if either you win due to skills or lose due to lack of skills. But the matter of fact is to have fun, isn't this game about sportsmanship? wheres any fun whenever a new guild starts out they get destroyed running into a smrf guild? I believe that the top guilds should be limited so that not 4 of their smrf guilds running all guests invites holding top 4 on the ladder.

So are you suggesting something?

I'll go ahead and suggest that there is a guest limit per month, only 60 guests a month or something. Probably less though. And make the price go up every time they add a new guest and already have a guest.

That way if you have one guest it's 100, two it's 200, three it's 400, five it's 800, six it's 1600, and seven it's 3200

You mean guests can actually participate in battles? Geez, I didn't know that! Yeah, I can see how an oligopoly would form under those conditions.

If and when they ever add practice arenas, I think guests should only be allow to participate in those.

I am opening this discussion to see how people would present some of their solutions because I just recognize the problem and doesn't have much for a solution. Need some solution input from the community.

Dude! You said oligopoly! You even used it in the right context! Well done!

As far as the guest in battle thing goes, I think the sliding price scale has merit. I also think limiting the number of guest at one time and per month is a viable idea although it kinda goes away from PART of the reason that the guest thing was introduced to begin with. Maybe make a GvG have at least 6 MEMBERS before starting or something along those lines. There are really lots of options for changing this that would eliminate or reduce the problem.
